Our Youth Teams are about physically and mentally healthy growth, life-long friendships, age-appropriate costumes, moves and music, and life lessons learned through dance training to thrive for a better self.
During the auditions, children will be accessed based on a few criteria, and placed either to Team A or Team B based on skill set or advised other classes in preparation for next year season auditions. Auditions $35 to be charged at the sign-up.
Audition attire:
- wear black stretch pants and a tank top
- hair neatly and pulled away from your face
- jazz shoes or socks.
RISING STAR TEAMS (ages 10-14)
Rising Star Performance and Competition Teams training mix various contemporary dance styles (lyrical, acro, jazz-funk, broadway jazz, contemporary, latin) to help develop a well-rounded dancer.
As part of the team, training children receive the most valuable lessons in life such as developing teamwork, cooperation, and friendships, as well as the potential for feelings of success and the desire to improve. Two to four diverse show-dances will be created throughout the year. Rising Star Performance Team training is for Intermediate dancers.
Pre-requisite: at least 2 years of dance, gymnastics or ice skating experience, commitment and strong desire to improve.
